If I don't want to get an earful from Pierre, I should wipe the dark energy in this place clean. Of course, wiping is just a metaphor because I'm actually not using a rag or anything. This is a prestigious first mission, so I should give it my all! Month OO, Day XO I'm just so exhausted... Why did elves have to make magic circles in here? Why couldn't they make one in the middle of a lake so that it's easier to find? If they made one in the middle of the street, where there is a lot of sunlight, maybe I wouldn't have to clean it up. I almost died thanks to all the water golems on my way here... But I'm a wizard from Venelux! (Okay, an apprentice, but still...) Taking care of golems is a piece of cake... I think! Why am I so naive? If I just endure a few more years, I'll move up the food chain a bit... When that day comes, Pierre will have graduated and I'll be a senior student. Then... I'll be "generous" too and give all my work to some new apprentice. You just wait and see! Month OO, Day XX Finally, after a month of cleaning (and I've cleaned five times already!), Vallina finally told me about this place. It was once a forest full of green. The elves who lived here would borrow life from the trees to summon a magic circle that uses the power of water to become ten times stronger than ordinary magic circles. How very elf-like, working with the trees... But after the Temple of Truth was established here, a wizard's mistake led to the appearance of dark elementals... And now there's this ten-times-as powerful-magic-circle that was originally designed to attract water... but now also pulls in that dark energy! Golems are being created endlessly due to this magical mess, so poor apprentices like me have been cleaning up after the mistakes of wizards past for who knows how long. Honestly, I could cry. When will I be freed from this endless cleansing? Someone, anyone, please help me.
