Seven Large Rocks and a Little Seed A long, long time ago, when there was no Talandre, but a simple village. In the east of the village, there was a rocky hill with strong winds. And on the hill, there were seven grumpy rocks that were always arguing and bickering with earth other. "I am the best!" "You're wrong, I AM the best!" Not a grass could grow on this hill with the constant fighting amongst the rocks. Then one day, the wind brought a seed to the hill.

"Hey, I brought you a little friend. Say hello." Rocks looked at the seed. "Hello, nice to meet you." "Eek, it's tiny!" When the seed said hello, rocks ignored it. They just went to fighting among themselves. Then, someone talked to the seed. "Hello, little friend. Come and rest behind me, before the wind takes you away." It was the seventh rock. The little seed said thank you, and hid behind the rock as a strong wind blew.

After some time, the seed sprouted. "Oh, you've grown bigger! Hello." The sixth rock and fifth rock greeted the sprout. The sprout grew into a tree. "Wow, you've really grown, haven't' you?" The forth rock and third rock greeted the tree. Time went on, and a flower bloomed on the tree's branch. "Wow, it's beautiful!" Rocks stopped fighting and looked at the flower. It was the first time that rocks actually stopped fighting among themselves. Then, the flower became a fruit. "This is so nice!" Rocks complimented the tree! The round orange colored fruit was an apricot, sweet and sour. Animals came to taste this fruit.

Then, the earth began to shake. Roars were heard from everywhere. There was a war! A giant golem, Quietis, ran to the tree. Then he fell, his large hand falling on to the tree. The tree was too scared to even make a sound. It closed its eyes. "Don't worry, tree!" Seven rocks said. Then shielded the tree against the giant hand. "You just stay here. We will protect you forever." The tree was happy, and the seven rocks really did protect the tree. For a very long time. The tree flowered and fruited countless times. Its seeds rode the wind and spread across Talandre. That's how apricot trees became the specialty of Talandre.
