Dear Selena. It's been a while. I hope you're doing well. I did perform the research you requested in the Forest of the Great Tree. The Great Sage Tree used to be the place of exchange between Elves and Humans, and it was preserved in a good condition. But this was also the place where wizards of dark magic killed many Elves. Elves must have been devastated by their attacks to leave such a beautiful place like this. Since Elves were gone, Ogres came in and took the place. It was hard to find our actual research subjects, Wolpertingers. I had to wait for a pretty long time to see if the rumor in the village was true. But it was well worth it. When I waited long enough, Wolpertingers came one by one, and started to sing and perform a ritual. So now I confirm the "rumor in the village" - the ritual of Wolpertingers, was indeed real. This was never recorded in any of the history books we have.

When the largest Wolpertinger sang, magical flowers bloomed around The Great Sage Tree, and shimmering will o' the wisps emerged from the flowers. Wolpertingers claim that they are Elven Souls that are shackled to this land. Wolpertingers call this ritual of sending away bound Elven Souls, the "Passage Ceremony." But during the ritual, Ogres came out from the forest to steal Elven Souls. I stopped them with the help of other adventurers in the area. We just can't just let Ogres constantly disturb this important ceremony. How about the Lightbringer Society help this ritual to go on, within the scope of not disturbing Wolpertingers? Maybe we could provide guidance to other adventurers, or write papers on this subject to make the public aware. Let's discuss this when I go back to the Society. - Adriel
