Page 1/1 The royal family of Solisium gifted fine horses to the Bercant Family in recognition of their achievements. After that family's fall, the surviving horses found new owners. But because these horses were so special, there are many interesting stories about them. 1. Solar Melody: Horse of Elegance Solar Melody was a particularly emotional horse with a great ear for music. At the nearby sheep ranch, there was a shepherd boy who often played the flute. Whenever that boy played, Solar Melody would stop whatever it was doing and just listen to the music, despite the horsemen's' scoldings. The problem was that the boy played flute very often and at completely random times. Because the horse couldn't be trained or put to work due to the music, the head horseman finally found the shepherd boy and made a variety of threats about what would happen if he ever played that flute again. But clever Melody realized what had happened and came up with an innovative idea to rebel against the horsemen. Melody would not excrete until it could hear the sound of the flute. In the end the horsemen caved, realizing they were risking the health of a prized horse, and begged the shepherd boy to play again, but only at certain times. The shepherd boy, realizing what was going on, insisted that if he was to perform at scheduled times, he'd have to be paid like a scheduled performer. Which they reluctantly did. 2. Luminous and Ebony Ramtane: A Battle of Beauty Just as there is a standard of beauty for people, there is one for horses. Luminous was a tall, slim courser with a beautiful golden coat. Ebony Ramtane was a dark horse with a pitch black coat. Its build was big and strong, making it seem ever so valiant. Because both horses were so aesthetically pleasing, many visitors lined up to see them. As such, the two horses traveled together often. They spent a lot of time together, and a strange sort of competition sprung up between the two prized horses. Luminous had an outgoing personality, so it would often enjoy posing and accommodating the requests of the crowd for tricks. However, right when a painter would set up their easel to draw the magnificent horse, Ramtane would come along with his strong muscles put on a show, blocking Luminous. But Luminous was no better. When Ramtane was the center of attention, Luminous would stroll in and steal Ramtane's thunder. These two hypercompetitive horses always put on quite a show. Unfortunately, the two horses were adopted into different families, so the entertaining competition came to an end.
