The Arena is a 3 versus 3 PvP mode. It is a cross-server activity, which means you can encounter players from any server in the Arena. This is the ideal game mode for players who prefer small-scale PvP. In this guide, we will explain how the Arena works and tips for winning games. Arena Gameplay in Throne & Liberty How to Enter the Arena To enter the Arena, your character must be at least Level 50. You can enter as a solo player, or form a team with up to two friends beforehand, and then enter as a group. Open the main menu (Esc or F10) and click the Arena option to enter the Arena. Before entering, you must choose the Game Type. There are three Game Types currently available: Individual Match - Find a match individually. You will be placed in a team with two other individual players. Games can be either ranked or unranked. Team Match - Join a match as a team with up to two friends. Games can be either ranked or unranked. Friendly Match - Invite your friends to a friendly match to practice and hone your skills. Ranked is unavailable in this mode. Penalties will be applied to players who leave the game early, to encourage good sportsmanship. Maps and Mechanics There are currently two maps available in the Arena, although more may be added in future. At the start of each Arena game, one map is randomly selected and the game will take place there. The players are divided into two teams of three. Your team will be highlighted in blue, while the opponents will be highlighted in red. The objective of the game is to reach 200 points before the other team. Points are awarded every 30 seconds, based on how many kills and eliminations your team got. If a team reaches 200 points, the game will end immediately and that team wins. Otherwise, the game has a 5 minute time limit, and the team with the most points will win when the time expires. Additionally, each player starts the game with two Battle Tokens. Whenever you kill an opposing player, you take one of their Battle Tokens. Bonus points are added depending on how many Battle Tokens your team controls. End of game Scores in the Throne & Liberty Arena Buffs During the match, three Buffs will appear in the arena. You can choose one buff to apply to your character. Try to choose a buff that suits your playstyle. Rankings Playing in Ranked games will impact your Ranking. The matchmaking system also uses it to find opponents with a power and skill level similar to yours. However, sometimes, you will still get matched against some players with a higher ranking. If you defeat higher-ranked players, you will get more points towards your ranking compared to defeating similarly or lower-ranked players. Events Sometimes there are Events related to the Arena. These Events grant additional rewards to player, encouraging more people to try out the Arena. Some rewards are granted for simply participating in Arena matches, while other rewards are performance-based. We hope you liked this guide about the PvP Arena in Throne & Liberty.
