In this quick guide, we will explain how to solve the moon puzzle during the At the Lycan's Hall quest/codex in Throne & Liberty.

This puzzle can be a little confusing at first, as the game doesn't do a great job of explaining what you're supposed to do. If you're stuck on the Lycan's Hall puzzle, worry not, as we'll explain how the puzzle works and what the solution is below.

How to Solve the Lycan's Hall Puzzle in Throne & Liberty

You actually have to solve two puzzles in Lycan's Hall. Both of them are explained below.

At the Lycan's Hall First Puzzle

At the beginning of the puzzle, the pillars will display symbols above them, corresponding to moon phases. The symbols are coloured either yellow or blue. The symbols will become invisible after a moment, so try to memorise the position of the yellow and blue half-moon symbols - these are the only ones you need for now. To solve the first puzzle, you need to interact with the yellow half-moon pillar, and then the blue half-moon pillar.

The catch is that as soon as you touch the yellow half-moon, the pillars will rotate. You should have memorised the location of the blue half-moon at the start of the puzzle, so watch where that pillar moves to. When it stops moving, go and activate that pillar to finish the first puzzle.

At the Lycan's Hall Second Puzzle

The second puzzle is a little more complicated, mainly because what you need to do is not explained very clearly.

To solve this puzzle, you need to combine a blue and a yellow moon phase to combine a full moon - you can think of it as a simple jigsaw puzzle.

There are three matching pairs in total:

  • Blue Half-moon - Matches with a yellow half-moon.
  • Blue Waning Crescent - Matches with a yellow waxing gibbous
  • Blue Waning Gibbous - Matches with a yellow waxing crescent

Touch the moon pillar near Clay and a blue or yellow moon symbol appears above your character's head. You then need to find and interact with the pillar of the opposite colour that will create a full moon when added to your symbol. You must do this in a few seconds, or the time runs out, and you have to start over.

However, the moon symbols on the pillars are usually invisible, which makes this part difficult. To make them appear, use your dash morph to turn into a wolf. This will make the puzzle much easier to solve.

You must repeat this process several times, until only the full moon symbol remains, to finish the puzzle.

Once you've completed the second puzzle, you can continue with the quest as normal.
