In this guide, we will walk you through the Forest of Grudge dungeon, including the most notable mobs, all bosses and their mechanics, and the best strategy for beating them. Forest of Grudge is a +++ difficulty dungeon, the highest difficulty currently available in the Dimensional Circle. The minimum level is 55. For more guides about a variety of topics in TL, please check our Throne & Liberty Guides Database. First Boss - Gugbarg Gugbarg is a fairly simple opening boss for the Forest of Grudge dungeon. He does have a few mechanics: Red AoEs - Small AoEs appear on the ground around Gugbarg. Avoid standing in these. Molten Ground - Gugbarg heats up the ground, giving it a molten appearance. The whole group will take damage over time because of this. The healer should heal the team to help them survive it. Fury Attacks - Like most enemies, this boss will do Fury Attacks which can be mitigated with a well-timed block. Watch out for the purple indicator. Red Totems - Destroy the totems when they spawn. Final Boss - King Khanzaizin King Khanzaizin is the final boss of the Forest of Grudge in Throne & Liberty. This boss can be tricky because it has lots of mechanics that players need to learn. You have a good overview of the arena when gliding down to face the boss after clearing the last trash packs. Notice that the platform on which the boss is standing is divided into three rings - we will call these inner, middle, and outer rings. Also, notice that there are pizza-slice divisions from the middle to the outer edge. Below the platform is an area with several pools of water, from which geysers will emerge during the fight. These details will be important later on. Notice the various rings and pizza-slice divisions of the platform Frontal Cleave - Like many bosses, King Khanzaizin has a frontal cleave attack that will hit anyone standing in front of him. Therefore, the tank should taunt the boss and face it away from the rest of the group. Meteors - The boss will periodically call down a meteor, targeted at the furthest player from the boss. They will be immobilised, and a small AoE will appear around them to indicate the impending hit. We recommend assigning a ranged player to stay in the outer ring to kite the meteors, this way they will not affect the rest of the group. After a meteor lands, the pizza-slice it landed on will be temporarily filled with fire, heavily damaging anyone who stands there. The person kiting the meteors should be mindful of this, and drop the meteor in a pizza-slice that has no other players in it. Note that the damage of the meteor's initial hit is spread out between all of the players in the AoE. One player taking it by themselves will take very heavy damage and is likely to die. Sending one player to stand with them and take half the damage will make it much more manageable. Homing Fireballs - The tank must always stay in melee range of the boss. If the tank moves away, the boss will not chase them. He will instead begin shooting fireballs at every player in the group. A few fireballs can be fatal, but this will never happen if the tank stays in the correct position and doesn't die. Ground slam - The boss raises his staff in the air for a few seconds, then slams it down. This deals AoE damage that will hit the whole group. If you are standing in the middle of the arena (marked by red), this will deal much more damage, so take a few steps back before he slams the staff down. Fury Attacks - The boss will perform four Fury Attacks in a row. However, each Fury Attack is only targeted at specific rings. You can skip two of the Fury Attacks by standing in the correct rings. At the start of this mechanic, stand at the inner ring and perform a perfect dodge. Stay in the inner ring, and the second dodge attack won't hit you. Next, go to the middle ring, and you will avoid the third dodge attack. Finally, head to the outer ring. Please note that the fourth Fury Attack requires a perfect block rather than a perfect dodge. Getting the perfect block is vital, as this will give you a buff that allows you to do the next mechanic. Geysers - Ordinarily, you cannot jump into the Geyser area, or you will take massive damage and die. However, after perfectly blocking the final Fury Attack, you will receive a buff that gives you temporary immunity to this damage. Immediately after getting the buff, jump down (use your glide morph to avoid fall damage) and use a geyser to blast you back up. This will give you a water buff that you can use to deal with the next mechanic. Spreading fire - The fire dropped in the arena by the meteors will gradually begin to spread, eventually taking up 100% of the space and making it impossible to survive. You can prevent this from happening, provided you get the water buff from the geysers. With the buff, you can run into the fire and extinguish it. Don't try this in real life. Red Orbs - When the Geyser mechanic is happening, one player who remains on the platform (often the tank) gets a red orb on them. After a couple of seconds, this orb will explode, knocking the player into the air and breaking one of the pizza-slice sections of the platform. There are two ways to deal with this: If your group DPS is high and you are confident in your group, you can ignore this mechanic and deal with part of the platform being broken. If you do this, all red orbs after the first one should be placed next to the section that was already broken, resulting in one large gap instead of many small ones. Alternatively, the player with the orb can jump off the platform's edge. This way, the explosion will not damage any of the platform sections. You can then glide back onto the platform and continue. However, a limitation is that one player must always remain on the platform, or the boss will reset. So if you are the only player left on the platform and get the red orb, you'll have to stay put and accept that part of it will get broken. Below 50% HP - The boss will call two meteors instead of one, resulting in more fire. We hope you liked this guide about the Forst of Grudge in Throne & Liberty.
