Equipping the Staff gives you access to a range of fire, ice and lightning spells that can be used to damage and debuff enemies. If you want to create a mage build in Throne & Liberty, then the Staff is the most natural choice for your primary weapon. The Staff has low single-target damage compared to other damage-oriented weapons, however it is the best weapon in the game for clearing waves of mobs, thanks to its unmatched AoE potential. Staff Key Skills Here are some of the most important skills and passives associated with the Staff weapon type in Throne & Liberty: Serial Fire Bombs - Deals damage and applies Burning. Can be used up to 3 times in a row. Consecutive uses have reduced cast time but cost more Mana. Chain Lightning - Deals damage which spreads to another enemy nearby. The damage can jump up to 3 times but decreases by 20% with each jump. Deals 4% more damage for every stack of Burning on the target. Judgement Lighting - Deals heavy damage to the target. If the target is affected by your Wet or Frost effect, a portion of the damage jumps to up to 5 nearby enemies. If the target is affected by your Burning, the skill has a 17.5% chance (per Burning stack) to activate twice in a row. Salvation Chain - Pulls party members in the area towards you. This skill can be used to cheese some boss fights, for example by pulling a stunned ally out of range of a boss attack that would otherwise be deadly. Flame Condensation - Increases your Burning damage. Increases your Heavy Attack Chance against a Burning enemy by 10 per Burning stack. Forbidden Sanctuary - Decreases Mana Cost Efficiency by 15%. Increases Skill Damage Boost. Best Weapon Combos for the Staff Throne & Liberty allows you to equip two weapons simultaneously, switching between them freely and slotting Skills and Passives from both weapons. The weapon types that work best with Staff are: Wand & Tome - Combining the Staff with the Wand & Tome gives you access to a wide range of spells for all manner of purposes, including healing, damage, buffs and debuffs. This also makes your build into the standard mage archetype. Daggers - You can combine the Daggers with the Staff to increase your Critical Chance and Critical Damage. You can also use the Inject Venom skill with the Destructive Fang passive to decrease enemies' Defence. The Daggers are great for supporting the Staff by increasing its DPS potential.
