Update Notes (2/3) - Challenges, Runes, and Item Supply Revamped

What's new

Added 'Challenge Levels'.
- They are generated at the player's chosen difficulty level, and depending on the level, enemies will have increased damage and health, enhanced boss patterns, additional effects, etc.
- Entry does not cost any resources and is replayable.
- There is no time limit to play, but depending on your clear time, you may be eligible for higher levels.
[Dev Comment]
"Introducing 'Challenge Dimension' for adventurers looking for a new challenge."
The Challenging Dimension was born out of a desire to find a balance between the fun and challenging difficulty of the new dungeons.
That's why we introduced a tiered dungeon system to make the challengeaccessible to everyone.
A single 'dimensional dungeon' is made up of multiple stages, each with new gimmicks, altered boss patterns, and more powerful stats.
You're always free to choose the difficulty level that's right for you, and the fun never stops.
The 'Rune' system, added as a reward for 'Challenging Levels', also allows for continued growth over repeated play.
Dive into the world of 'Challenging Dimensions' today, unlock your hidden potential, and become the best adventurer you can be!
We look forward to your courage and challenge!
Challenge level
- Challenging Netherworlds is content that challenges players to defeat Netherworlds created at a difficulty level of their choosing.
> 2 dungeons will be selected each week based on regular checks (Wednesday 6pm).
- Entry does not cost any resources and is replayable.
- Players can choose the level of each dungeon (up to 30 levels) to tackle.
> Each stage increases the enemy's damage and health.
> At certain stages, the boss's pattern is enhanced or additional effects are applied.

Enter the challenge level
- In order to unlock your first Challenging Tier, you must clear the '2-star Tier' of the same name.
Players who have previously cleared the 2-star Tier 1 are still required to clear the Tier 1 to satisfy the initial entry requirements.
- Challenge Levelers can only enter dungeons created by the party leader of their party.
- The party leader can choose the stage of the dungeon to create.
> However, the dungeons you can create are limited by your party leader's spawnable tier.
> The spawnable tier rises based on the amount of time you have left after challenging a tiered dungeon.
> Party members must meet the 'minimum combat strength' of the entry requirement to enter.
Progress to the next level of challenge
- Upon entering, a circle is formed around the entrance, which can be initiated by interacting with the Dice of Time.
> When interacting with the 'Dice of Time', the ties are broken and the 'Progression Time' runs.
- There is no "progress time" limit for playing through a challenge tier, but completing a tier within a certain amount of time will increase your "Dungeon Buildable Stage".
> The time to check for completion is counted from after the time die is used.
> The dungeon's spawnable stage is increased by the 'spawnable stage' of each party member's dungeon.
> It will only go up if the 'Dungeon's Stage' you completed is higher than your 'Spawnable Stage'.
If a party member's 'Spawnable Stage' increases, it cannot be higher than the party leader's final 'Spawnable Stage'.
Completing a 10-level challenge within the 2-level ascension time (can ascend up to 12 levels)

Added 'Rune Sockets' to Heroic-tier weapons and trinkets.
- It's a new growth factor that can further enhance the performance of your equipment.
- You can equip a 'rune' that fits into an open 'rune socket' type to grant additional stats.
- Depending on the type and order of Rune Sockets and the rank of the Runes equipped, Rune Synergy is triggered.
[Dev Comment]
"A new growth system for unlimited challenges without constraints. Runes"
With the ability to repeat challenges without limit, we needed a new growth system to match.
And we wanted to provide an experience that would continue to grow with each iteration.
Trait Resonance and Runes were born out of that thought process and are designed to provide new growth for equipment that has been stagnant.
Along with the 'skill specialisation' system for creating skill builds, the
The process of farming the runes you need, as well as customising the synergies of your rune arrangement, is a process that can be as simple as
We look forward to the fun of creating gear builds that find the runes and synergiesthat work for you .
Unwanted runes can be recycled into 'another rune' with the 'rune hammer', which can transform sockets through dissolution and transmutation.
We hope you enjoy the rune system, where hard work is rewarded with growth.
Rune Sockets
- Added 'Rune Sockets' to Heroic-tier equipment.
> Rune Sockets are granted to Heroic to Heroic Tier 2 weapons and trinkets.
- Rune sockets are available via 'Manage Runes' in the equipment context menu.

Open Runes
- In the 'Manage Runes' screen, you can spend the 'Rune Hammer' item to open a rune socket in each slot.
> When opening a 'Rune Socket', the type of socket is determined by a set probability.

- The number of 'Runic Hammers' spent on opening depends on the equipment part and rank.

Rune Synergy
- Synergies are triggered when you open different sockets and then equip all runes in all sockets
> Rune synergy triggers when both the type and stats are met.
- Synergy is based on the 'lowest ranked rune' when all sockets are equipped with runes.

Adds an equipable 'Rune' item to the Rune Socket.
- You can equip 'runes' that match the 'site' and 'rune socket' types of open equipment to grant additional stats.
- Runes can be found in a variety of content, primarily in the Challenging Realms.
- Each rune has different stats, and each rune of the same stat grants you a higher level rune.
Where to get Runes
- Runes are the main reward for the Challenging Levels and can also be earned through other content and events.
> Runes can also be earned from Weekly Missions / Field Bosses / Guild Raids / Fielded Dungeons / Regional Events.
Rune levels and ranks
- Runes have levels per stat, with higher levels having higher stats.
> Every time you get a rune with the same area and stats, you get a randomly higher level rune, with a guaranteed minimum.
* If you have acquired the 'Defence Rune: Amulet - Melee Defence 5' level rune at least once, the next time you acquire a rune of the same area & stat, you will always acquire a rune of 'Melee Defence 5' or higher.
- Runes have tiers, and the higher the tier, the higher the maximum level cap.
The 'guaranteed minimum' rule may be limited by a 'level cap' based on the 'rune class'.

Rune types and varieties
- They come in Offensive, Defensive, and Support types, and can only be equipped in rune sockets that match their type.
- Weapons / Rings / Bracelets / Belts / Necklaces have equipping restrictions and can only be equipped on the specified equipment type.
> Equip limitations can be seen by the equipment icon in the top left of the rune icon.

- Runes are randomly assigned to one of a list of stats based on their type, with the stat list varying depending on their type or equip limitations.
> The list of stats that can be attached to a rune, as well as their minimum and maximum values, can be found in the item context menu 'Rune Info'.

Disposing of unused runes
- Unused runes can be disposed of in a number of ways.
> 'Dissolve' to obtain 'Rune Fragments'.
> 'Transform Matter' to convert it into another item.

- 'Rune Fragments' obtained through transmutation and dissolution can be used to craft 'Rune Chance Chests'.

Attribute Open Seat
Revamp the equipment supply system.
- Increased drop rates across the board for Fielded Dungeons and 1-star Dimensioned gear.
- Loot drop rules will change, and will work differently for different content.
- Adjusted the items that can be dropped from Field Bosses, Arc Bosses, and Dimensional Bosses.
[Dev Comment]
"To make gear acquisition a more frequent experience, in a wider variety of content."
We' ve significantly increased the drop rate of gearover the course of play in the hopes of encouraging rapid gear growth and a diverse arsenal.
However, in order to prevent any "gains from abnormal play" that may occur as a result of the increased drop rate, we're changing the supply scheme as follows
- All completed gear, except for the exclusive weapons of Field Bosses and Arc Bosses, will be dropped asdrops.
- In Dimension Stones and Guild Raids, all gear drops as return.
- The tablet paper item will be discontinued, but you will retain the tablet paper you already have.
- Attributed equipment can be converted and traded via the new systems 'Tabletop System' and 'Attribute Extraction'.
We're aiming for equipment items to be acquired through direct content.
The materials required for tabletification are also all available through in-game content play,
We've also made sure that tablets purchased on the exchange are also accompanied by in-game materials.
We also recognised that certain weapon classes had a higher proportion of core equipment items that needed to be acquired than others, so we decided to create a
We've made some changes to the list to smooth out thevariation in difficulty,
We've also adjusted equipment that was too hard to obtain for its performance to be placed in the 'deep end'.
Increased equipment drop rate
- Fielded dungeons and 1-star dimensional gear drop rates will be significantly increased.
> To ease the hurdles to gear growth, we've configured fielded dungeons to drop gear at a higher rate.
- Drop opportunities are further improved during party play.
> Fielded dungeons now have a better chance of dropping items for the same amount of Abyssal Points previously spent.
Changing the rules for loot drops
- Changed drop rewards after hunting to be based on "first player to hit" (first hit).
However, the 'Content Progression Count' for Requests/Codex, etc. will continue to be the same for everyone with Monster Contributions.
> If you have permission to own the drop item, you will see a separate icon in the monster's name.
The icon representing ownership of a dropped item is a hand picking up an object from the floor.
This has nothing to do with hate speech, which is always an issue, and TL Camp takes a stand against all hate.
> If you do not have permission to own the drop item, the monster name and health bar will be 'greyed out'.

- [Conflict] Field Bosses and Arc Bosses will have a chance to take rewards based on the "combined contribution ranking of your guild members".
> Players in the top 90% of participating guilds.
- [Peace] Field bosses and Arc bosses have a chance to take rewards based on their 'Personal Contribution Rank'.
> Players in the top 90% of individual contributors who did not receive a contribution ranking reward will have the opportunity to earn additional rewards.
