Throne and Liberty [Notice] Advance Notice Regarding Improvements to the Gaming Experience Following the Nix Update
Hello. This is THRONE AND LIBERTY.
Following the equipment overhaul, we have been continuously monitoring the live environment and analysing play data, and have confirmed that the burden on players is higher than anticipated.
We would therefore like to inform you of several matters currently under discussion within the development team.
The first issue concerns the difficulty of levelling up unique equipment.
Although the status of Unique Equipment has remained at a level similar to before the equipment overhaul,
the burden of enhancing their attributes has increased significantly, as the previous methods of levelling up Unique Equipment by utilising their attributes have been removed.
In particular, even now—approximately one year after the launch of the raid content—a considerable amount of time is still required to enhance the standard attributes of unique equipment, and
and, taking into account the content’s lifespan and the current stage of progression, we have determined that adjustments to the difficulty of progression are necessary.
Accordingly, we are preparing the following improvements to alleviate the burden of levelling up Unique equipment and to enable players to utilise previously acquired resources more efficiently.
■ Improvements to Unique Equipment Progression
- Addition of a crafting recipe allowing Unlock Stones and Trait Unlock Stones to be exchanged for Unique Unlock Stones
- Added a new crafting recipe to craft Unique Trait Enhancement Stones from Trait Enhancement Stones
- Increased supply of Unique Trait Enhancement Stones
> Increased supply of rewards from Raid and Quest Coin Merchants
> Added items to the Raid Item Exchange Merchant
■ Daily Login Rewards
- Unique weapons awarded
- Unique armour awarded
- Unique accessories awarded
We aim to alleviate the burden of progression for new and returning adventurers, whilst helping existing adventurers to level up their Unique equipment more smoothly.
The second area concerns the consumption of Abyss Points.
Whilst working to improve the environment so that players can enjoy Nix’s diverse content whilst spending Abyss Points,
adjustments were made to intentionally increase the time required to consume Abyss Points, in order to encourage a certain level of player concentration and cooperation, given the nature of party-based content.
However, it has been confirmed that the level of fatigue during repetitive hunting sections has become excessively high, and we have therefore determined that improvements are necessary.
As Abyss content is a core progression feature used consistently every day, we are reviewing improvement measures that will alleviate the burden on players whilst maintaining their motivation to engage with the content.
Although the details of the improvements have not yet been finalised, we are preparing changes centred on optimising Abyss Point consumption efficiency and reducing the fatigue associated with repeated play; further details will be provided in a separate announcement at a later date.
The third area is travel convenience.
The travel experience in Nix was intended to allow players to move quickly whilst admiring the scenery via the Sky Spire and Mirinae; however,
in actual gameplay, the Sky Wedge has become the sole means of travelling from Etherion to the field, resulting in fatigue accumulating at a higher rate than anticipated during repeated play and when moving between areas.
To address this, we plan to place a total of five teleportation stones—one at each Star Lighthouse location across the regions.
We expect that the Teleport Stones will resolve the issues of entering areas and travelling between them, whilst allowing players to easily travel to neighbouring areas via Mirinae from the Star Lighthouses.
However, as the effective exploration of vast open fields—such as the outskirts of Nix—will still require the appropriate use of the Mirinae and the Sky Wedge, we believe that the original design intent will remain intact.
The following changes will be implemented as a priority during the temporary maintenance on Thursday, 25 June.
- Additional items added to the Raid Item Exchange Merchant
- Addition of teleportation stones to five regions in Nix
- Combat difficulty in Nix’s general fields reduced
- Reduction in the number of times quest cards can be played (4 times → 2 times)
Furthermore, to address the inconvenience faced by adventurers who are unable to use character transfer tickets due to a lack of character slots, the character deletion waiting period will be changed to 1 hour,
and various other bugs that have been identified will also be fixed.
Further details regarding the bugs to be fixed will be provided in the temporary maintenance notice.
We will continue to monitor the live environment and strive to provide an even more enjoyable progression experience.
Thank you.
