Throne and Liberty [Notice] Update notes for Tuesday, 13 January


Hello, this is THRONE AND LIBERTY.
We will be performing a routine maintenance on Tuesday, 13 January 2026 to inform you of the updates that will be applied.

Updates include

Additional damage/mitigation mechanics have been changed, and armour and consumables have been made more efficient.
- Changed Additional Projectiles and Additional Strike skills to no longer apply the 'Additional Damage/Reduction' stat.
- Fixed skill and specialisation errors and made some balance adjustments for each weapon.
- Armour set effects and food buffs have had their stats increased.


[Dev Comment]
As the combat environment has expanded, we've identified situations where extra hits and damage mitigation were being overly effective on some weapons and skills than they were designed to be.
This adjustment is an improvement to clean up the effect application structure around basic hits, making combat flow and feel clearer.
We're hoping this will alleviate the stress of excessive bashing and damage negation, and allow the personality of each weapon and skill to shine through in the intended way.
However, we'll be keeping a close eye on the actual playthroughs, as the experience can change dramatically after the structural changes,
Along the way, if we see results that are not what we intended, we will continue to make adjustments to the numbers as needed.
Changes to how the 'Extra Damage' and 'Damage Reduction' stats work. These stats no longer apply to additional projectiles or additional hits.

Battlegrounds have been rebalanced and new furniture crafting recipes have been added.
- Improved the way Battlegrounds 'Indomitable Shout' is awarded to be more fluid based on score differentials.
- Added crafting for 4 pieces of furniture in the Akvos 'Event' theme.

Private residences
- The "Disclose my housing information" option on character business cards has been renamed to "Disclose housing information and allow visits".
Guilds
- We've removed the list of rewards that were previously displayed in the tooltip, as we've made it easier to see the drop information for Guild Treasure Chests.
Challenge level
- Changed the list of add-ons in each dungeon.
> The list of additions will change periodically as each dungeon's schedule returns.


Modifications

Skills and presets
- Fixed an issue where copying a Quickslot preset would overwrite the target preset's customisation information instead of initialising it, resulting in over-application of customisation points.
> As a result of this, presets that have been saved beyond the speciality point limit will be automatically reset on first access after the update. We apologise for the inconvenience, but please reset them.

Item
- Fixed the [Castler's Table] buff being applied as a [Twinkie] buff effect.
- Fixed [Cosmetic Coin] items earned from the Lucky New Year: Gift of the Birds event displaying incorrect item information in your stash and bag.
- Lucky Newcomer: [Shimmering Star of Hope] from the Gift of the New Star event. The [Shimmering Star of Hope], [Sparkling Star of Hope], [Dazzling Star of Hope], and [Radiant Star of Hope] items can now be stored in the Warehouse.

- Fixed an issue where intermittently completed events (most notably Arc Bosses) would remain on the calendar.
- Fixed boss portal events displaying the wrong type in the ongoing schedule.
- Fixed the name of the hunting ground event not being printed in the calendar notification when the hunting ground event starts.
- Fixed an issue where the upcoming event notification displayed next to the minimap incorrectly displayed the time remaining until the event started.
Minimap
- Fixed minimap settings button and minimap outer angle alignment not matching.
Battlegrounds and PVP
- Fixed the Battlegrounds Season schedule being displayed in UTC.
> Improved to display according to the preferred time display method.
- Fixed a low chance server crash during sieges.
- Fixed an issue that could intermittently prevent some servers from entering Nebula Island.
Guardian
- Fixed the healing plotter display when healing from the Vampire Slayer Escal [Vampiric Wound] effect being summed up and not displayed.
Transform and motion
- Fixed special transformations not being saved when specified.
- Fixed intermittent unlocking of the swim transformation in shallow water, such as on Scary Island.
- Fixed an intermittent glide transformation breaking when gliding very long distances, such as in Herba Village.
- Fixed some unnatural motion when players jump over low obstacles, and occasional reversal of direction after jumping.
Matching
- Fixed a bug that caused matches that were waiting to be accepted to show as 'Waiting to accept match' even when they were rejected by someone else and changed back to being matched.
Character business cards
- Fixed character business cards displaying incorrect weapon information for other characters.
- Fixed incorrect printing of personal home information on my business card.
Guilds
- Fixed Solant numerical area not being clickable when refreshing guild requests.
Chronology
- Fixed an issue where the chronicle completion time was incorrectly displayed in the chronicle.
Pin
- Fixed a bug where calling the raid pin context menu would output a party pin.
Equipment appearance
- Fixed some equipment appearance names not matching the original equipment.
Customisation
- Fixed a bug where hair colour would only be inherited after the first transformation when a feral transformation that inherits hair colour was set as the designated transformation.
Raids
- Fixed an issue that prevented characters who died in Phase 1 from opening reward chests during Calanthia Adept and Extreme difficulty.
