Throne and Liberty Logo

Hello, this is THRONE AND LIBERTY.
We are pleased to announce that we will be performing routine maintenance on Wednesday, 13 November 2024.
What's new
Season 2 of the Challenge is here.
- Simplified (steps 1-5) and expanded (steps 6-99) progressive change stages.
- Changed step-up rules and added a kill gauge system.
[Dev Comment]
Thank you so much for joining us for Season 1 of Dare to Be Different!
In Season 2, we've listened to your feedback and created even more fun and exciting challenges.
We know some of you felt overwhelmed by the sudden change in boss patterns in Season 1.
There are also many people who have yet to experience a "three-star experience".
With this in mind, we decided to combine the old "2-star dungeons" with the new "3-star dungeons" in Season 2.
We've taken the pain out of party building by streamlining progression changes from 15 steps to five.
Instead, we've expanded the unchanged sections from 6 to 99, so you can continue to challenge yourself to reach even greater heights!
We can't wait to see who will reach the top.
We also introduced a 'kill gauge' system, rather than simply advancing by killing monsters.
Now you can have fun tackling the dungeon, strategising which monsters to defeat and in what order!
We hope you'll join us for Season 2, which will be full of new challenges and changes!

[Dev Comment]
With the launch of Season 2, we decided that Runes, the main reward for Challenges, needed to be improved,
We've targeted three main areas for improvement
1. [Removed Rune Hammer ] Reduced the difficulty of opening 'Rune Sockets'
- With the difficulty of 'acquiring' runes of the desired stat, rank, and level being high by default, 'equipping' the acquired runes also requires a
We were concerned that the high difficulty requirement was excessive, so we decided to soften the opening difficulty by adding the
We've decided to change the system for opening sockets with Rune Hammers, and we've also decided what to do with your existing Rune Hammers.
2. [Added Rune Bag ] Improved 'Rune Management' convenience
- We've made some improvements to help you manage your runes, including a tab for filters, but we've heard from you that you're still running out of space in your bag.
We empathise, so we added a 'Rune Bag' so that you can keep your earned 'runes' separate from your existing bag space.
This is an update we've been considering since the beginning of the rune system, and we apologise for taking longer than expected to bring it to you.
3. [Increased Rune Growth Chance ] Reduced the difficulty of 'Rune Growth'
- We empathised with the fatigue of constantly repeating the same content to grow 'runes', the main reward of the challenge level,
We've decided that we need to speed up the growth of runes, especially 'low-level' runes that aren't actually used, so we've increased the chance of rune growth significantly,
We've made improvements to allow lower levels to progress more levels at once, including more challenging "first clear" achievement rewards and better weekly mission rewards,
We wanted to make it so that you only need to use it once to see growth, not many iterations.
In addition to these three items, we've also added Chaos Runes, Heroic Runes, and other new progression elements, so we hope you'll join us for Season 2 of Challenging Dimensions.
We know there's still more work to be done, and that this update doesn't address all of your pain points.
We look forward to bringing you improvements and updates to make it better and more satisfying.
Changed how rune sockets are opened/initialised
- Changed opening/resetting Rune Sockets to consume Solant instead of Rune Hammer.
- You can specify either attack/defence/support type, and there is a 100% chance that the socket will be opened/initialised.
- The Solant consumed when opening/initialising a rune socket is as follows
Type [Class]
Socket opening/initialisation cost (Solant)
Weapon [Heroic Tier 2]
677,600
Weapon [Hero]
Accessory [Heroic Tier 2]
338,800

Existing Runic Hammer
- With the definitive opening of the Solant Rune Socket, the Rune Hammer will be made available for sale.

Increased Rune Growth Chance
- Significantly increased the chance of getting a higher level rune when picking up runes of the same stat.
- Improved rune growth so that you can now grow +1 to +5 levels at once, depending on the max level of the rune for that stat.
> Previously, rune drops had a set chance of being the same or one level higher based on the highest tier rune of the same stat.
> With the introduction of Challenge Season 2, we've improved the system to ease the difficulty of rune growth, increasing the chance of growth and allowing players to grow up to 5 levels.
Please check theRune Growth Chance page forthe updated Rune Growth Chance informationafter thescheduled maintenance on Wednesday, 13 November .
Changing Rune Dissolution
- Due to the addition of Heroic Runes, Rune Shards will now be awarded for dissolving up to level 80 and are now guaranteed to be awarded instead of a chance.
