Chronicles: Return of Kalynthia


Calanthia is unsealed.
- The new content 'Altar of the Chaos Witch' raid is now open.

What's new

Added the Raid 'Altar of the Chaos Witch'.
- 'Raid' content will open after the end of the 'Return of Calanthia' Chronicle.
- Chaos Soulstone: Calanthia, earned in Raids, can be exchanged for a variety of rewards.
- Added raid-related abduction and collection codexes.

Altar of the Chaos Witch
- New content 'Raids' will be added and the Chaos Witch's Altar will be available.
- Altar of the Chaos Witch has a total of three difficulty levels.
: [Return of the Violet Witch > Return of Calanthia] Raids on Normal and Expert difficulty will open after the Chronicles end.
: [Return of the Violet Witch > Forbidden Ritual] Extreme difficulty will be unlocked after the end of the Chronicles.
- To enter the raid, you can enter through the gate in the town of Herba.
> Raid Gate. [Codex: Two Wings of Silaveth (Ha) - Command to Stop Kalanthia]in progress, the gate will be unlocked.
If you leave a raid dungeon, you can only re-enter it through the raid main window.
- You can enter each zone of the Raid by entering the Raid Main Window.

Admission conditions
> Raids You can only enter each zone if you're in a raid.
> Each zone in a raid requires a minimum combat strength requirement to enter.
> The raid leader must enter the raid dungeon before the rest of the raid can enter.
> Join a raid, even if you haven't unlocked it.
You'll be able to enter and play in areas entered by the raid leader, and earn rewards for clearing them.
> If you clear a raid dungeon, you can re-enter and play it at any time, but you can only earn rewards once per week.

Configuring Raids
- Available for 12-player raids, the Calanthia Raid consists of three zones and a boss.
> When you clear the previous zone, the next zone is unlocked.
> Raid clearance information is reset every Wednesday at 6am KST.

Zone 1: Oblivion Ruins features Zone 1 boss Dragail.

: Corridors of Woe in Zone 2 features the Zone 2 boss twins Gyros and Vulkan.

: Zone 3 Altar of Resurrection features Zone 3 boss Calanthia.

- Raids are designed to be minimally restricted paths. It's up to the raid to decide if they want to explore all areas or take the shortest route to the boss.
- A certain number of monsters must be defeated to reach the boss, which is indicated by your kill progress.

- There are three boss buff devices scattered throughout the zone to help you fight bosses.
Fury: Increases damage dealt to bosses
: Barrier of Radiance: Reduces damage taken from bosses
: Vigour of the Clear: Increased health during boss battles
- These devices are placed throughout the zone, and the effects they apply are lost when you move through the zone.

Raid difficulty
- Normal difficulty
> A difficulty level that allows you to enter with 5,000+ Battle Power.
> Bosses on Normal difficulty have one battle phase.
> If the entire raid dies during a boss fight, the 'Shard's Resolve' effect is applied.
Increases the damage and health of everyone in the raid, stacking to a total of 10 levels.
: There is a 3 minute cooldown on accumulation.
: The resolution of the fragment is lost when you move the zone.

- Mastery difficulty
> A difficulty level that allows you to enter with 6,000+ combat power.
> Bosses on Expert difficulty have two battle phases.
> The boss will switch to the second phase when it reaches 50% health or when you defeat the first phase boss.
- Extreme difficulty
> will be released in a separate announcement in the future.

Raid Raid Skills
- A Call to the Stars
- There are three types of Raid Skills, which are special skills that can only be used in Raid Dungeons, and the type of weapon you have equipped in the 1st weapon slot determines which skill you can use.
> Offensive: Sword of Condemnation (two-handed sword, dagger, longbow, crossbow, staff, spear)
A wide area attack skill that deals a lot of damage.
> Defensive: Blessed Boundary (Longsword)
Grants a powerful shield to allies for 8 seconds.
> Supported by: Light of Life (Wand)
A skill that grants passive healing and haste buffs to allies.
> Using Skills
The Call of the Stars skill starts charging the gauge at the start of the battle with the boss in a raid dungeon, and when the gauge reaches 100%, you can use it.
: The Call of the Stars skill gauge is shared by all raid members and consumes the gauge of all raid members when used.
: Call of the Stars requires a 5 minute cooldown to reuse the skill.

Raid Rewards
> The Mark of Calanthia is required to earn rewards for clearing each zone.
> Calanthia's Marks have nine marks for each zone and difficulty level.
: Each Calanthia has a maximum of 1 token, which is subtracted by 1 when earning rewards.
: Each Calanthian token will be recharged at a rate of one every Wednesday at 6am KST, up to a maximum number of tokens.

Configuring Raid Raids
- Raid Matching
> Normal difficulty raids can use matchmaking to form raids.
: Raid matching can only attempt to match zones that you have unlocked.
: Currently, Raid Matching is only available through the Raid Gate located in Herba Town:
* We are working on making Raid Matching available from anywhere via 'Party Matching' in the main menu and will be rolling out in the next update (9 July).

- Raid Board
> Through the Raid Board, you can recruit your teammates.
: The Raid Board can only be accessed via the button located on the Raid Main Window, and not through the normal Board window.

Picking up where we left off, here's an update to the Abduction Codex: The Two Wings of Silaves (Lower).

Added a new gear system, the Unique Tier Gear and Skill Core system.
- Added 'Unique Class Equipment', equipment with unique traits.
- Extracts a certain number of unique equipment appearances and outputs a dedicated effect when applied simultaneously.

[Dev Comment]
With the [Altar of the Chaos Witch] raid, unique gear will debut for the first time.
Unique gear is higher-tier gear that has overwhelming stats compared to existing gear.
This powerful piece of equipment can only be equipped with one weapon and one piece of armour, requiring you to make strategic choices about which pieces to equip.
The combination of unique gear stats and uniquetalents allows you to experience a variety of new combat styles.

Unique class equipment
- Unique equipment can only be equipped with one weapon and one piece of armour.
Weapons can only be equipped with one of [Primary/Secondary], Armour can only be equipped with one of [Helmet/Cloak/Top/Gloves/Bottoms/Shoes].

- Unique equipment has a total of 5 stats, while weapons and armour have 2 / 3 powerful random stats respectively.
> Random stats determine the type of stat you get when you pick them up, but you can also use special items to convert them to the stat you want.
> The random stats you get will vary slightly depending on the weapon type and armour type.
You cannot get the same stats from regular stats and random stats.
Random stats give you a chance to get a stat type, but the value of that stat is fixed.

- Unique weapons can be imprinted by extracting the skills of an existing weapon into a 'skill core'.
> A Skill Core is an item that can be engraved on a unique weapon to grant access to the skills contained in the Skill Core.
> Skill Cores can be obtained by extracting them from weapons that have the skill, and can be extracted from the following weapons
> Heroic Tier 1 Archvos Weapons
> Heroic Tier 2 weapons with skills
> Heroic Tier 2 Archvos Weapons
Skill Cores can also be extracted from upgraded equipment, and the equipment will be destroyed when extracted.
- Unique-tier equipment has one unique talent in addition to the existing three common talents. (1 unique talent, 3 common talents)
> A unique attribute is a characteristic that exists only on a unique piece of equipment.
: Weapon Talent List: Fighting Spirit/Prowess/Wisdom/Comprehension/Indomitable

> Unique talents have a low chance of dropping from unique equipment.

- Unique equipment growth
> Unique Equipment can be grown by crafting a new Growth Stone, the 'Unique Equipment Growth Stone', from the Equipment Maker
> Unique Equipment Growth Stone Design: Chaos Crystal 1 + Rare Magic Dust 4
- Unique Equipment Growth Stones differ from traditional Growth Stones in that they use Chaos Crystals instead of gems as their material.
> Chaos Crystals are a raid-supplied growth material that can be obtained from each boss kill.
Unique equipment can only be transferred between Unique equipment, and cannot be transferred to Heroic Tier 1 or 2 equipment.

> Unique tier gear is available as a reward for defeating the Calanthian boss in Raids.

Extracting and engraving skill cores

- Extracting Skill Cores

> Skill Core Extraction Scrolls require different quantities depending on the rank of the weapon being extracted.

- Skill Core Imprinting

Note
- When crafting a Mineral Arcvos weapon using an existing Arcvos weapon as a material, all enhancements, talents, and growth of the existing equipment will be reset.
- Crafting a Radiant Arcvos weapon is unsuccessful and cannot be listed on the Exchange.
- The Radiant Arcvos weapon is tier 2 Heroic, and the growth formula for talents, passives, etc. follows the tier of the equipment.

[Dev Comment]
Longbow improvements
The Longbow has always been a favourite for its utility and healing abilities, but we think it's been a bit of a disappointment for those who prefer to play aggressively.
With this tweak, we want to re-centre the longbow so that it's not just a healing-focused weapon, but can also be used in a more offensive way if you choose.

We've also orientated it so that it has a clear compatibility relationshipwith the main classes in the current meta,
We've also made the difficulty of responding to'Stealth', a particularly powerful survival skill, more reasonable.

Going forward, the longbow will be more of a weapon that allows you to create and exploit clear timing, rather than 'heal and attack at the same time'.

[Dev Comment]
In the past, we've had some issues with the Origin Stone/Dimensional Stone buffs, with some regions having different effects, which can be frustrating for small and medium-sized guilds.
The Raslan and Stoneguard regions were relatively unattractive, especially when compared to Tolland.

We want to make sure that guilds of all sizes and leanings can make meaningful choices in their own way,
We're working on givingRaslan and Stoneguard's Origin Stones/Dimensional Stones the samebuffsas Tolland.

With this change, we hope to bring more meaningful strategies and advantages to both PvP and PvE orientated guilds.
We'll continue to look at how we can help different guilds find their own way on the battlefield.

BC Occupation War
- During Capture the Stone battles, the skirmish time from imprinting to capture has been changed from 3 minutes to 2 minutes.

Spectator mode
- Spectator mode is now additionally available in Interserver Sieges, Dimensionals, Raids, and Guild Raids.
- The Manage Party button changes to the Manage People button.
> When you enter an area where Spectator Mode is available, the button will change its appearance as shown on the right and the "Permission Settings" tab of the "People Management UI" will become available.
> The "Permissions Settings" tab is also available in the Battlegrounds.
- Permission holders can invite or exclude spectators via the "Permission Settings" tab.
> You can invite individual audiences with the 'Invite Spectators' button, or invite multiple audiences at once with an invitation link.
> Permission holders can change spectator invite permissions to 'all' players participating in the content.
> However, even if you change invite permissions to full, only you can exclude spectators and re-invite excluded characters.
The following restrictions apply to spectator participation
> You cannot join a party or invite other characters to join your party while spectating. You will also be removed from any existing parties when you become a spectator.
> Spectator access is not available while playing Tower of Tidal, Gateway to Infinity, Illusion Corridor, Arena, Battlegrounds, Battlegrounds, Nexus, Challenge Nexus, or Interserver Siege content or during party matches.
> Photo mode is not available while spectating.
- Adds new features available in spectator mode.
> Added the ability to jump to the player character's location and escape.
> "Move Target Camera to Random Character" is a feature that allows you to move content to one of the characters you are playing.
If you're a spectator entering content with complex levels, you can use this feature to quickly get to the spectator area.

[Promo] Mirror Boutique Collection Season 2!
- A total of 14 costumes and 16 weapon cosmetics will be re-released every two weeks starting 16 April.

Switching unique attributes
- In the trait switching UI, if it is a unique trait, the trait/probability area on the right appears to switch to include the current trait.
> This is a misprinting issue, where the actual [attribute probability switch] attempt is determined from the remaining attributes except the current one.
Cane
- The [Mana Sphere Eruption] passive skill is no longer applied when using the [Ice Spear Bombardment] skill.
Weapons
- The tooltip for [Queen Blendi's Lightning Bolt] Spectral Storm damage increase is incorrectly displaying as "800% additional base damage".
> Actual damage is increased from 200% to 800% of base damage, plus an additional 600%.
- The effect of [Tevent's Lightfire Scepter] incorrectly shows the armour reduction as 10.
> The actual effect reduces armour by 10%.
Codex
- There is an issue with the starting code for the Abyssal Codex 'Guide to the Abyss' where it says Parrot Mail Check in 'Town of Vienna'.
> The actual proceedings don't have to be in the town of Bieta to check the parrot mail.
