[Notice] Wednesday, 3 July Update Notes


Hello, this is THRONE AND LIBERTY.
We are pleased to announce that we will be performing routine maintenance on Wednesday, 3 July 2024.
Please see below for details.


Updates include

Added Arena content, where you can PVP against other characters.
- This is a 3vs3 PVP content where you can party up with 3 characters and face off against 3 other parties.
- There are three modes and two battlegrounds, and you'll need to score high to win.
Arena
- Arena is a 3v3 PvP content that pits parties of three characters against three other parties.
- This is the preseason before the regular season.
: Pre-Season 1 - After the 3 July (Wed) maintenance to 24 July (Wed)
: Pre-Season 2 - After the 24 July (Wed) maintenance to 21 August (Wed) maintenance
> The regular season will open in August, with further improvements based on trend and play data accumulated during the preseason.

How to use
Main Menu - Arena
Modes and Battlegrounds
- There are three Arena modes, which you can choose when you enter the Arena.
Ranked Play
Your match score will automatically determine your opponent.
Depending on the outcome of the match, your ranking score will change.
Standard
Your opponent is automatically matched based on your match score.
Your match score and ranking score are not affected.
Friendly Matches
A practice match where you can invite another party of 3 players to play.
The leader of the party can invite the leader of the other party to play.
Match scores and ranking scores are not affected.
- There are two types of Arena Battlegrounds, which are randomised upon entry.
Arena of Challenge
> A giant circular arena floating in the sky.
: Twisted Laboratory
> An arena shaped like a laboratory on the surface of the water, where the pillars and surface of the arena change depending on the time of the match.
> If you touch the water surface, you will take damage.
Matchmaking
- When you request an Arena match, you will be matched with characters from all over the server.
- If you apply for an individual match, you will be matched with another character who applied as an individual, and if you apply as a party of three, you will be matched with another party.
: Matching is not available for parties of 2, 4, or more players.
- When matching, you will be automatically assigned based on the weapon you are equipped with.
Only two weapons of the same type are allowed in a party.
When matching in a 3-player party, you will not be able to start a match if the number of weapons does not match.
: Only Ranked and Normal matches will be assigned based on the equipped weapon, while Friendly matches will not be assigned based on the equipped weapon.
Match Rules
- Arena matches last 5 minutes, and the first team to earn 200 "Battle Points" within the match time wins.
If the match ends without both teams having earned 200 points, the team with the higher score wins.
- Battle Points are earned through Battle Marks owned by your character.
Battle Points are accumulated every 30 seconds from the start of the match, equal to the sum of the number of Battle Marks your team has.
When you defeat an opponent's character, you can earn additional Battle Points based on the number of Battle Marks owned by the defeated character.

- All characters start with battlefield tokens, and the amount changes based on deaths/kills.
: Each character starts the match with 2 Battlefield Marks.
Each character starts the match with two Battle Marks per character.
> However, a minimum of 1 Battlefield Marker is retained.
Match Tips
- You can enter the arena with one of three buffs at your starting position: increased damage, reduced damage, or invisibility.
Each buff lasts for 30 seconds, and the invisibility buff is instantly dispelled by other skills and flat hits.
> Invisibility is not the same as the 'Stealth' skill and does not work in conjunction with Stealth.
- In the last minute of the match , you will enter 'Heist Mode', where you will loot battlefield tokens.
: When you kill an opponent, the last character you hit will gain all of the deceased opponent's Battle Marks.
: If there is no last character killed, a random opponent character will receive the Battle Marks.
- If a team has 12 or more Battle Marks at the end of each 30-second period during a match, a Cold Game Ball will be added.
: If a team has 3 Cold Game Marbles, they immediately win the match.
- If a character has 5 or more Battlefield Marks, they will receive the "Mark of Valour" status or higher.
: Increases the amount of damage you take when the Mark of Valour status is applied.
: The Mark of the Fighting Spirit status ailment increases by up to three tiers, depending on the number of Battleground Marks you have.
- If you die during Arena , you will start at your starting position.
If you wait more than 30 seconds at your starting position, you will be forced to move into the arena.
Notes on use
- Equipment cannot be replaced in the Arena.
- Except for the Leaf of the World Tree and the Potion for the Arena, the use of items and Guardians is restricted in the Arena.
You can't use Guardians, and you can't use Elixirs and Food, except for the Rare Purification Elixir: Fighting Spirit.
: 'Arena-only potions can be purchased from 'Arena Vendor Victoria' located in [Caster Village - Caster Arena].
- Leaving the arena while it is in progress will result in an escape penalty.
: You will not be able to use the Arena for 15 minutes after leaving.
: Your match score and ranking score will be significantly reduced.
Match Points and Ranking Points
- Your Match Points and Ranking Points change depending on the results of your matches in the Arena.
- Your match score determines your match opponent for Ranked and Standard matches.
Your Match Points are not publicly available and will remain the same even after the season ends.
- There are four tiers based on your Ranked Points
Trainee
1 to 1699 points
Elite
1700 to 1899 points
Officer
1900 points or more
Warlord
2200 points or more, top 100 in the rankings
Arena ranking, which is measured by ranking points, is calculated as 'All Servers'.


Rewards
- You can earn titles based on your Arena ranking after the Arena season ends.
Titles are rewards for the pre-season and may change when the regular season opens.
- The first preseason will end before the 24 July maintenance.

Some content and items will be changed to improve your experience.
- Adeptus items will no longer automatically activate when dropped, but will now activate when clicked.
- Content notifications have been improved to distinguish between "Request Resistance" and "Request Scroll".
MasteryDew
- Dew of Mastery will no longer be automatically activated when you drop a Mastery item, but will now be activated when you click it.
This is a 24 hour limited-time item, and will be deleted if not used within 24 hours of acquisition.
- The Dew of Mastery item has been disabled in certain situations.
: When no weapon is equipped
When you have maximum weapon mastery points
: When the active and inactive weapons are of the same type.
Requests
- In 'Manage Content' and 'Content Notifications', the display of 'Resistance Requests' and 'Requisitions' has been improved to show them separately.
Level difference penalties
- The following penalties will be applied to the amount of experience and Solants gained when hunting monsters with a higher level than the character's level.
: A 30% penalty is applied for a 6-level difference, and a 10% penalty is added for each additional level difference.
> The penalty is applied up to a maximum of 99%.
ArenaTraders
- 'Arena Vendor Victoria' has been added to [Rathlan] - [Caster Village] - [Caster Arena].
: You can now purchase 'World Tree Leaf', 'Stellar Boom', 'Superior Stellar Boom', and 'Rare Purification Elixir: Fighting Spirit' from the Arena Vendor.
Guild Request Rewards
- We've changed the "Special Material Chance Box" reward from a Guild Request reward to a "Special Material" reward.
System and UI usability improvements.
- Added one male and one female face shape, and added 'face presets'.
- Chat translation has been added, and whisper and group chat with other server characters has been improved.

Customisation
- Added one male and one female face shape, and added 'Face Presets'.


Chat
- Added chat translation feature.
You can see individual translated sentences by tapping the 'Translate' button in the chat window.
You can use the 'Auto Translate' option in chat settings or preferences to automatically translate chats.
- Improved the ability to whisper to other server characters.
- Added a setting to adjust the font size of dialogue.
: You can change it via the 'Dialogue font size' setting in [Preferences - Accessibility - Content - Font size].
> When you change it, the size of the interaction bubble will also change.
Personal relationships
- When you 'block' a user, we've changed it so that your friend, boundary, and interest relationships with them are also removed.
Friendship requests and received friendships will also be cancelled.
Game Guide
- Added a shortcut button to the main menu for help.
- Added a guide to check the content available when a character reaches level 50.
- Completed the Adventure Codex 'Act 6. Song of the Vienta Dwarves" has been updated to include a guide to progressing through the Nexus and Resistance quests.
- Added a guide to progress through the Exploration Codex when opening the Golden Rye Farm Teleportation Stone.
Mail
- Added "Reply" to instantly reply to mail sent by other players.
Exchange
- Added the ability to collect items that have failed to sell on the Exchange in bulk.
Shortcuts
- Removed the ability to use the [Tab] key to switch between tabs in the windows displayed in the HUD.

- Added the option to enlarge the damage plotter.

Fixed content errors
- Growth Journal
Fixed: Some field boss defeat missions not completing in 'Peace Boss' and 'Guild Raid'.
- Regional Events - Faction War
Fixed an issue where the icon for the Warp Portal would overlap with other map icons, making it difficult to identify.
Fixed an issue where the icon for the Warp Portal would not disappear after the event ended, but would remain for some time.
: Fixed an issue in [Blood Mushroom Gathering] that prevented players from applying for team party matches in faction-only spawn zones.
- Regional Events
: Fixed an issue in [Festival of Fire] where requests would not renew after killing a Fire Orc.
- Interdimensional Bosses
: Fixed an issue where the boss icon would appear as two icons.
- Adventure Codex
: Fixed an issue during [Act 9. Pact of Fire and Darkness - Unknown Threats] where Orcs would intermittently appear to be levitating when moving after transforming.
: [Act 9. A Pact of Fire and Darkness] - [Secrets of the Gorge] The Dark Orc Butcher's level has been corrected to level 45 during the encounter.
- Co-operative Dungeons
: [Isle of Blood Rage] Fixed an issue where AoE skills would not apply in certain locations when fighting the Red Goblin Shaman.
- Items
: Increased the amount of Enchantment Dust that can be obtained from dissolving some pieces of equipment that have attribute buffs and blessing points.
System bug fixes
- Interserver Guild Wars
Fixed an issue where the schedule notification icon would disappear when returning to your server after participating in an Interserver Guild War.
- Gateway to Infinity
: Fixed an issue where the top ranking calculation time was displayed incorrectly when your ranking information was not available.
- Parties
Fixed: When closing and reopening the party board, existing selections would not be retained.
Party: Fixed an issue where characters with lower combat power than the party recruitment threshold could be in your party.
- Common Controls
: Fixed an issue where right-click dragging was not working on some lists.
- Content Notifications
Fixed: Reddit notifications remaining in content notifications after completing an Adventure Codex, even if the reward was received.
- Event Calendar
Fixed: The schedule UI for ongoing events would sometimes display incorrectly.
- Purple Streaming
: Fixed an issue where the left-click panning option in preferences would be enabled when exiting Purple Streaming.
- Tooltips
- Fixed an incorrect wording in the 'Sign of the Covenant: Abyss' tooltip.
Gamepadbug fixes
- Fixed intermittent skill set activation when quickly switching between skills from different skill sets.
- Fixed an issue with the first slot being cleared when entering the Bag "Quick Slot Edit" function.
- Fixed an issue where HUD manipulation was allowed after printing a party board.
- Fixed an issue where the Skillset UI would sometimes not display correctly.
- Fixed an issue where the initial focus would be placed at the bottom when entering the character information screen.

Known issues
Chat
- Whisper] When whispering with another user, it was not possible to change the whisper destination with /whisper (space).
> You can change the whisper target by entering it directly, or by trying it after another chat.
Equipment
- The effect of Tevent's Carnage may have reset the Cloak of Stealth's cooldown, causing it to no longer provide stealth when used.
