Why Is Food Useful in Throne & Liberty

Eating Food items in Throne & Liberty gives you a buff that lasts longer than a potion. You can only have one food buff active at a time.

Different food items yield different buffs, so the food items that are best for your character will depend on your build and what content you are doing.

Here are a few examples of food items in Throne & Liberty:

  • Quality Aroma Pie - Increases Hit and Critical Hit for 10 minutes
  • Quality Quarba Sandwich - Increases Critical Hit and Boss Critical Hit for 10 minutes
  • Rare Salted Jerky - Increases All Defense for 30 minutes

Food items are of Quality (green) or Rare (blue) rarity. The Rare food items are harder to craft, but give a stronger buff that lasts for longer. Rare food requires you to have first crafted the quality version, and then combine it with the specified Rare ingredient to upgrade the food.

It is strongly recommended that you keep a food buff active while playing through challenging or competitive activities, such as dungeons, events or PvP. It will make your character stronger and neglecting food means you'll be missing out on an important buff.

How to Craft Food in Throne & Liberty

Crafting food is similar to crafting other items like weapons, armour and accessories

To craft food in Throne & Liberty, you first need to head to a Sundries Crafting Vendor. You can find them in major settlements around the map.

The earliest available can be found in Kastleton.

Speak with the Sundries Crafting vendor to browse the food items they can create.

They won't do all the work for you - you need to provide the required ingredients and a small sum of Sollant (gold) to craft each food item. Items that you lack the ingredients for are greyed out.

You can mouse over the icon of each food to see the tooltip, which provides more information about its effects.

When you've decided which Food item you would like to craft, ensure you have the required ingredients and Sollant (shown on the right side of the crafting screen), and then click the Craft button. This will consume the listed items from your inventory and create the selected item.
