It is said that someone originally summoned the first Grimchaser from Diabolica. The blue fire of their manes turn red as they grow, converting the fire power of their bodies into muscle strength that enables explosive acceleration. The Hellion Grimchaser develops a sort of body armor upon evolving into the top sub-type of this species. This strange adaptation is said to be the result of magic imbued by the entities of Diabolica.

Explosive Marsharks that live in the Swamp of Silence have multiple explosive sacs on their large, round bodies. Since their eyes have completely degenerated, they rely on their sense of touch and keen hearing to hunt their prey. Since this makes precision attacks difficult, they instead charge in the general direction of their prey and cause explosions in hopes of damaging their targets.
