This ancient species is a native to the foggy northeastern plains on the continent of Solisium. The greater varieties have colorful and shiny feathers. Although their wings are comparatively smaller than other birds', they can still glide short distances after jumping. The Armored Diatrima variety is covered in steel-like feathers. The top sub-type of this species, the Arkhan Diatrima, gives off a blue aura.

The decline of the Akidu clan began with the death of the first chieftain and lasted a long time. Then, on a night marked by the rise of a red moon, a hero was born in a place deep within the canyon—the hero who would lead the revival of the Akidu clan. Valkarg was known as the Beast because of the overwhelming strength he possessed since childhood that enabled him to tear apart enemies in battle with just his bare hands. He is driven by an insatiable desire to attain even greater strength.
