However, due to their natural cuteness, laid-back nature, and ability to catch mice, they became a favorite pet of sailors and farmers. As such, they have spread around the world after being used on ships to protect supplies. Cats are now an object of affection in every single known country.

They move slowly but are highly intelligent: they can hide by mimicking a rock in the sand, only to jump up and attack when prey draws near. They also have a powerful bite, making them a threat to any who cross the desert.
