The Cygnuses of the Belphoret region are referred to as the "aristocrats of the sky" or the "white counts" due to their elegance in flight. Cygnuses' feathers can withstand freezing cold, are the source of their emitted light, and allow their high velocity in flight. There are many mysteries yet to be solved surrounding these Mystic Beasts.

They are mainly raised as grazing animals and are allowed to roam vast fields. Cooperation between a shepherd and their sheepdogs is essential in order to protect these animals from predators.
