The quickest and easiest way to get Lucent is to buy it with real money. However, you can also earn plenty of Lucent just by playing the game, without spending anything. This guide will explain some of the best ways you can earn Lucent for free.

The most consistent way to make Lucent in Throne & Liberty is by selling in-demand items in the Auction House. The key is to find the items that are in-demand and sell for a decent price, and farm those items. 

When you get good at it, it's possible to earn hundreds of Lucent per day. 

Below are some of the best items to sell for Lucent, and an overview of how to obtain them. 

You can extract Traits from equipment items using a Trait Extraction Stone. You can then sell the Traits on the Auction House. Other players will buy these to apply them to their own gear. 

To make good Lucent with this method, make sure you are selling traits that are currently in-demand. Some Traits that are currently preferred are:

There are several ways to farm the equipment items to extract traits from. The most notable methods are by farming mobs in open-world dungeons, and by opening chests in co-op dungeons. 

Keep an eye out for ways to farm traited gear, and also pay attention to what other players are saying about the game and any upcoming balance changes - if a trait is about to get buffed in an upcoming patch, then you might be able to make a quick profit. 

While selling Traits is a good option most of the time, when you get an especially rare item drop, you may be able to make more Lucent by turning it into a Lithograph and selling that instead. 

For this, you'll need to craft a Precious Blank Lithograph, which requires the following items each time:

Note that the above quantities are true for armour and accessory Lithographs, but are doubled for Weapon Lithographs. 

Once you've created the Precious Blank Lithograph, you can use it to turn a Precious equipment of the same type into a Lithograph, which can then be sold in the Auction House. 

The player who buys the Lithograph can then use it to craft the item on their end. There will always be players willing to spend large amounts of Lucent to craft a piece of equipment that is very powerful or hard to obtain instead of undertaking the potentially arduous grind themselves, so if you run into such an item that you don't intend to use yourself, you can use this method to earn potentially hundreds of Lucent from a single sale. 

The Cooking system added many new recipes to Throne & Liberty that can be cooked by players using a variety of crafting ingredients. While the best recipes take some grinding to unlock (you need to craft many food items to level up your Cooking Skill and unlock all the recipes), you can eventually start using Cooking to turn your excess crafting materials into powerful food items. There are many players who don't have the time or the desire to farm all of the items needed or to level up their own Cooking skill, and those players will be happy to buy these on the Auction House as a time-saver. 

For this to be viable, you need to keep obtaining the crafting materials. Some of them come from material nodes in the world, such as fruit trees. Some come from Fishing (which also needs to be levelled up to get the best results), monster drops, and dungeons. You can also get a passive income of various cooking ingredients by making use of the Amitoi Expeditions - send them out on trips and they'll bring back a range of ingredients that can be used in cooking and other crafts. 

Rune Hammers are used to unlock Rune Slots in equipment. Players who are intent on fully gearing up a variety of setups with fully upgraded equipment can end up needing quite a lot of Rune Hammers to get this done. 

To craft Rune Hammers, you need to combine Rune Fragments. Rune Fragments are obtained by Dissolving Runes.
