How Obtaining Epic Armour Is about to Become Easier in Throne and Liberty Andrew 3 weeks ago Share on Reddit Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Throne & Liberty launched internationally around 6 weeks ago, and many players are still struggling to obtain Epic equipment for their character. Some players are also getting a little tired of playing the relatively easy Tier 1 dungeons, which are currently all that is available. There's good news, since new content is expected to come to the game soon that will address both of these problems. In this article we will see how new T2 dungeons will help to make grinding for most Epic equipment easier for Throne & Liberty players. No precise date has been confirmed, but according to September's Autumn Content Roadmap, Tier 2 Dungeons will begin to open up before the end of November. There are five Tier 2 dungeons in total, but it remains to be seen if they will be added all at once or spread out over a few weeks. Throne & Liberty Tier 2 Dungeons New Ways to Farm Epic Gear in Throne & Liberty Before explaining myself, I want to make it clear that we are assuming that everything will work entirely or mostly the same as on the Korean servers. This is likely, but not guaranteed. So if this assumption is indeed well-founded, this is how it will work: Tier 2 dungeons will eventually have a chance to drop Epic 2 equipment, a new rarity of equipment that is even more powerful than current Epic gear. However, we are not expecting these items to appear until the first Expansion is added to the game sometime next year, so to begin with, we will be getting the Tier 2 dungeons without any Epic 2 equipment. So, what's the big deal? Well, the Tier 2 dungeons will also allow you to obtain the Epic armour sets currently only available from World Bosses, Archbosses and Public Dungeons. Until Epic 2 gear comes out, this will be the only purple Armour that drops from these dungeons. Each dungeon will drop Epic armour for one specific item slot: Island of Terror - Chests Voidwastes - Gloves Valley of Slaughter - Headgear Carmine Rage Island - Boots Torture Chamber of Screams - Legs If you have bad luck with your drops, you will also be able to save up Dimensional Soul Shards by completing the dungeon - you'll get 4 Shards each time you open the chest at the end of the dungeon. When you have 30 Shards, they can be spent at the Senior Sundries Vendor in Stonegard Castle to craft new containers. When opened, these containers allow you to claim any Epic Armour piece of your choice from the associated dungeon. New Tier 2 Armor Selection Chests in Throne & Liberty (Some armour names are different on the Korean server) Click the containers below to find out which Epic armour items can be obtained from each one: Kertaki's Armour Selection Chest (Island of Terror) Shakarux's Armour Selection Chest (Voidwastes) Turka's Armour Selection Chest (Valley of Slaughter) Gaitan's Armour Selection Chest (Carmine Rage Island) Kaligras' Armour Selection Chest (Torture Chamber of Screams) After Epic 2 gear is added, there will also be containers that allow you to choose either an Epic 2 item from the dungeon, or a Cloak or Jewellery piece. These containers will instead cost 80 Shards. But we don't yet know when this will happen. Likely in Q1 or Q2 of 2025. What This Means for Throne and Liberty Players First and foremost, if you're planning on spending a large chunk of Lucent to buy Epic gear, we recommend waiting until the Tier 2 dungeons open up, since this is probably going to cause the price of these items to reduce significantly. You might not need to buy them at all if you have enough time and patience for farming, since you will be able to craft one of the new chests and claim any Epic armour piece of your choice after running the dungeon eight times (assuming you have enough Dimensional Contract Tokens to claim the reward at the end of each run - you might want to save these up). This will remove RNG from the equation and allow anyone with enough time and patience to save up the Shards and directly claim the Epic Armour they want. On the other hand, if you're lucky enough to have one of these items spare already and are planning to sell it, you should prioritise it because its value may decline sharply soon. In conclusion, if you're struggling to farm Armour pieces belonging to the Imperator, Shock Commander, Death, Ghost Wolf, Transcended One or Mother Nature Sets, hold your horses, because it should be getting easier pretty soon.
