TO ANYONE WHO FINDS THIS LETTER: Please give it to Quentin of the Rusty Mace Guild in Vienta Village. In return, I'll give you half of the treasure I've hidden here. Quentin, You were right. There was indeed a great treasure beneath the rocks of Saurodoma Island at the place marked on the map, just as you told me. But it was a decoy set by the Reptilians that live on the island. They're lizard-like humanoids, and they captured and imprisoned us. Every few days, one of them will take some of my men away. Yesterday, the leader came, and this monster spoke our language. He introduced himself as Toublek and took me to his lair to show me the monsters that he had created in his experiments. And... the faces of those grotesque creatures... They belonged to my men! These murderers!

I lunged at him, but I blacked out. When I awoke, I was back in my cell, with food, paper, and a pen. A ruse, perhaps, to lure in others through me. After much thought, I decided to write to you. You're the best I know, and I'm asking you to do me a favor. Bring as many elite troops as you can to defeat these Reptilians and save me. You haven't forgotten the brotherly pact we made when we were members of the Trident Guild, have you? I'm counting on you. Yours truly, Alexander (A crudely scrawled postscript appears at the bottom of the letter.) If you do not come, I will put your friend's head on the body of a terror bird. Better hurry. I am not a man of much patience. Toublek
