Page 1/2 Near the wasteland and east of Stonegard Manor, there is a small pond created by the Sanctuary's waterfall. This pond has clean flowing water, enough for people as well as animals and plants to drink, making it a base for many people to come and go. This base, called the "Sanctuary Oasis," is also a place I, a wandering crafter, often visit. Not long ago, I met a geographer and brought up the Sanctuary Oasis. He became very interested and suggested that I should leave a record of what I know about it for future scholars. So, despite my poor writing skills, I decided to briefly record the stories I heard about the Sanctuary Oasis. There was originally a large oasis in the wasteland where the oasis is located. However, this once fertile land was taken over by the Shadowmancers. They called it the "Sanctum of Desire," one of four major sanctuaries built by the Shadowmancers. Page 2/2 Afterward, the oasis remained in the Sanctum of Desire and was forgotten for a long time. However, in their efforts to eradicate dark magic from the world, the wizards drew a barrier magic circle around the sanctuary. Part of the Sanctum of Desire was destroyed and the water inside poured out in a waterfall. Soon, the waterfall in the sanctuary made a small pond in the arid land. It became a gathering place for travelers and was particularly favored by the Resistance. Thus, this place, which used to be a wasteland, evolved into a Resistance base called the Sanctuary Oasis. Some people wonder whether the water that makes up the pond at the Sanctuary Oasis is polluted because it flows from the Sanctum of Desire. However, given that the pond has created green vegetation and shade over the wasteland, those concerns are baseless. That about sums up what I know about the history of this place. I hope that this record will contribute to the research of scholars so that the Sanctuary Oasis can be preserved for generations to come - Grudran, Wandering Crafter -
