Crossbow is a high APM weapon, with a lot of multi hits, which mainly focuses on your attack speed and combos. For this weapon you want to put as much into DEX as possible, since dexterity increases attack speed and dmg. With this build you are able to hit 1000 melee evasion, which will make you immortal in pvp against gs,sns and dagger. Getting 30 points into Perception is vital for your hit rate - it increases chances of NOT missing your hit on the target. The rest of the points will go into Strength, for extra hp and survivability.
Remember that this is early game points distribution, it will be way different once u reach mid/end game.
As mentioned before, make sure to craft the exact green pieces and to take the exact blue pieces from quests. This will make you have the best 1000 melee evasion build, which will make you immortal against melee weapons like greatsword, daggers or sns
For dagger, just craft the green Asassin Dagger
The only thing u should be investing in - in terms of TRAITS - is your necklace + 2 rings. Make sure to have Skill Dmg Boost fully traited in your accessory. As you progress in the game, you will get purple gear pretty fast once u start doing dungeons/raids, so its best to focus ONLY on accessory and change it to purple as last.

Important note: Some of the gear is acquired via co-op dungeons.
Your focus should be on upgrading your weapons to blue +9 as fast as possible with Rare Weapon Growthstone
THE BEST SPOT FOR FARMING BLUE GROWTHSTONES: Contract's Manager in Watcher's Post (Lv.49) in west side of Laslan (see screenshots). This place is the most effective, based on low difficulty of tasks aswell as high amount of players doing contracts there. My tip is to pick up the easiest tasks, for example: Collect gatherable resources 0/3 ; acquire Fiery Orb 0/1 ; Investigate Mana Recording 0/1 , A token for specialist 0/1 etc... My second tip is to pick up ONLY weapon growthstones and refresh the contracts if there are no weapon growthstones ones.
Important note: Remember that your contracts replenish by 10 every 24 hours. So make sure to stay always on 59 out of 60 contracts available. Having that in mind, push to lvl 49 as quick as possible and start doing the contracts in Watcher's Post.
Important note v2: You can always upgrade 5x Quality Weapon Growthstone into 1x Rare Weapon Growthstone. You can also DISSOLVE (left click on item->dissolve) 1x Precious Weapon Growthstone into 5x Rare Weapon Growthstone
I listed passives as last ones, but you are supposed to upgrade them simultaneously with actives. In my opinion, the most important skills to upgrade is the Q block from daggers and 1st passive from daggers. It will give u good mana regen buffs, so u wont run out of mana so fast in your progression (and believe me, mana is a problem in this game)
Your main source of damage comes from 1st, 2nd and 3rd active skill (crossbow), and 1st, 4th active skill (dagger) - so try to upgrade those three to 🟣 purple asap.
YOUR SKILL ROTATION SHOULD LOOK LIKE (FOR MAXIMUM DPS OUTPUT): Inject Venom -> Thorn Gale -> Nimble Leap -> Quick Fire -> Mortal Mark -> Knife Throwing -> Quick Fire -> Wind Snatcher -> Quick Fire
Your 2 main dagger abilities, that deal most dmg, are: Predatory Strike and Brutal Incision
Make sure to read skills descriptions thoroughly. Crossbow's potential is based in cooldown reduction. Having enough CDR (for example from Opportunist passive) lets you refresh your abilities fast enough so u can maintain your rotations all the time.
Important note: Switch out your Assassin's Step passive for Profuse Poison passive for long-term fights, like dungeons or raids (It's also nice to have Profuse Poison upgraded to purple). It will amp up your dmg greatly.
❓ HOW TO ACQUIRE SKILL BOOKS
There are different ways to acquire skill books, but the most common are Dynamic Events. You can get both green, rare or purple skillbooks from 🌎 Peace Dynamic Events, depending on the level of the map. There are also 🗡️ PVP Dynamic Events, where instead of skillbooks, you get tradeable Rare Marind. With this Marind, you also need Rare Parchment, which drops either from Dynamic Events or Dungeons. Having those 2 items, you can craft skillbooks at 🧙♀️ Skills Researcher NPC.
You can also get Precious Training Book Selection Chest and Precious Improvement Book Selection Chest from Gate of Infinity.

❗️ The best and fastest way to progress in game, is to spam 📙 MAIN PURPLE QUESTS only. If you are unable to continue doing main quests because of the level cap, do 📘 blue side quests instead
✔️ Always eat your consumables for extra damage - Rare Quarba Sandwich for bosses; and Rare Aroma Pie for general pve.
✔️ If you are unsure if you have enough damage to kill a target - use Quality Attack Remedy for extra 20% dmg
✔️ Make sure to always have World Tree Leaf in your inventory, a bunch of them
✔️ Mana Regen Potion purchasable at 👨💼🛡️ Guild Merchant
✔️ The best GUARDIAN in the game is Shade Revenant Stheno - you can acquire this item from 📘 blue quest in Ruins of Turayne.
✔️ Remember to buy 5x Mystic Keys from 📝👤 Contract Coin Merchant and use it - you can get pretty neat rewards from opening Mystic Globes and Mystic Portals on the map.
